1980s: From the New Wave Closet

Mohawks. Shaved sides. They are back and all for the LADIES.

Recently, we've seen more and more women rockin' one or both sides shaved up, w/ tousled locks on the other side, maybe even a braid or two....and we (here @ recycled.stylez) thought someone needed to pay homage to one of the first brave chicks to sport the hawk in all its glory: the ravishing Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow. So here's some vids and shots:

Man, that girl had some stylez...and I say 'girl' because she was only 15 or 16 when she was in Bow Wow Wow! And when I say 'had', it's only half-truth, for Lwin was used as a promotional tool to sell Vivienne Westwood's clothing line...it was Viv behind the curtain. Well, we're just glad that whoever's stylez are back in style! And HERE is an article explaining what you need to know about 80s-fashion-trends-turned-2011. It's a new wave revival and we're lovin' every second.

Our Red Anchor Wafer Celluloid Buttons are sold ALL thanks to our new Blogger buddy: Never a Plain Jane!

They design sahWEET customs garters for weddings, burlesque, and just because you wanna feel sexy and sassy! After NPJ featured our buttons in a nautically-themed blog post, they got a custom order to make a garter from them. We thoroughly hope to receive a photo of the finished product!
